BALANCE EVERYDAY MATCHA (CULINARY)
Sourced from Shizuoka, a leading region for Japanese green tea, this culinary matcha is made for versatility and consistency. It delivers a bright green hue with a composed balance of mild bitterness, rounded sweetness, and subtle umami. Carefully processed and finely ground, it blends smoothly into milk-based drinks, desserts, and baked goods, retaining colour and flavour stability across both hot and cold preparations.

TASTING NOTES 味わい
Balance Everyday Matcha features a balanced flavour profile with mild bitterness complemented by gentle sweetness and light umami. The taste is clean and straightforward, reflecting the natural character of the tea leaves. A fresh green aroma accompanies the cup, without excessive richness or lingering intensity.
The powder blends smoothly and delivers stable colour and flavour, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. Well suited for beverages, sweets, and cooking, it maintains consistency when used in both hot and cold preparations.

Shizuoka, Japan
Shizuoka is one of Japan’s most historic and respected tea regions and it stretches from coastal plains to misty mountain valleys that create ideal conditions for cultivating exceptional matcha. The soils are naturally rich in minerals and the climate is shaped by cool ocean breezes that help the young leaves develop depth and clarity. Shizuoka is also known for its traditional Chagusaba tea-grass farming culture which supports biodiversity and enhances flavour quality. Generations of artisans here have refined shading, steaming and milling techniques, resulting in matcha that is clean, sweet, umami rich and elegantly fresh. This unique environment and craftsmanship give Shizuoka matcha its signature refinement and vivid colour.

Cuisine
In Japan, culinary matcha is widely used as a practical ingredient in everyday cooking and confectionery. Chosen for balance and consistency, it is incorporated into cakes, biscuits, creams, ice cream, and café-style drinks, as well as select savoury preparations. Rather than being prepared ceremonially, it is valued for how reliably it blends, colours, and complements other ingredients, reflecting its role as an accessible and versatile part of Japanese food culture.
