We believe balance isn’t something you chase. It’s something you create, one quiet sip at a time.

For centuries people have turned to matcha to find calm and clarity.
At Uchawan we see it not as an escape from life but as a way to return to it.
More aware. More alive.

Our Story

Our story didn’t begin with a trip to Japan or a perfect plan.
It began a year ago with curiosity and a question about what makes matcha real.
While exploring the market we realized how difficult it is today to find true authenticity.
We saw that price doesn’t always mean quality.
We started to listen to farmers and to understand the quiet work behind every leaf.
From that search for honesty and balance Uchawan was born.

From the field to Uchawan

Each cup of matcha from Shizuoka is the result of patience, care and harmony with nature.
In this region farmers have practiced the Chagusaba method for generations, a traditional Japanese way of tea cultivation. They cut and spread grasses between tea bushes to enrich the soil and preserve its moisture.
This natural process gives the leaves their deep flavor and gentle aroma.
For us it is more than a method, it is a reflection of respect for the land and the people who care for it.

Care shows itself over time.

It becomes clear through repetition.

Calm does not interrupt the day.

It fits inside it.
